Historically, Australian gardeners have favoured European-style gardens, especially in our cold climate region of the Southern Highlands. Poorly designed native gardens of the past gave Australian plants an undeserved reputation for ordinary looks and unreliable performance.
But times – and tastes – are changing.
Increasing awareness of drought, bushfires and threats to Australian wildlife are inspiring more people to choose native plants for their sustainable credentials and unique aesthetic appeal.
Combined in the right way, Australian native plants offer breathtaking colour, fragrance, texture and variety. Once established, native gardens demand little maintenance and require little or no watering. Gardens featuring native plants attract birds, bees and butterflies like no other.
When you choose Native Grace, you can expect first-rate communication, genuine expertise and boundless enthusiasm. Whether you are buying a plant or planning a whole new garden, our aim is to help you to fall in love with Australian natives.
The beautiful village of Robertson is in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. Famed for its cool climate, changing seasons and rich fertile soil, the region is recognised as the gardening capital of New South Wales and is home to many important garden estates, national parks and horticultural events. Native Grace occupies the iconic site that traded as Robertson Village Nursery for over 30 years.
We honour the Traditional Custodians of this region and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We pay our deepest respects to Elders past, present and emerging. In particular, we acknowledge the people of the Gundungurra, Dharawal and Yuin nations who have travelled through, gathered and lived in this beautiful place.
