Acacia floribunda or Gossamer Wattle is naturally found from Sydney to southern Queensland, occurring on the coast and in the tablelands. Grows in coastal sclerophyll communities, often in sandy alluvial soil and along watercourses. Once established it has a low water requirement.
Flowering in June through to September, it produced masses of small yellow, scented ball-shaped flowers followed by pod-like fruit.
Drought tolerant, and excellent in frost prone areas.
